And here’s what you’ll read about in This Is 35:

Four years after completing her first 30 First Dates challenge, blogger and TV producer Erin Crawford is once again racing the clock, this time checking off 35 goals she wants to achieve by her 35th birthday. In the meantime, the network behind YOLO, a reality show based on Erin’s bucket list blog, shifts her from behind the scenes as producer to center stage as a cast member.

Amidst growing pressure at work and home – including a cross-country travel schedule that never seems to align with her new husband’s – Erin has the added stress of a camera following her every move as she checks off her list for a national TV audience. From a wedding fiasco to a fateful dance lesson to a nemesis who’s determined to make trouble in her brand new marriage, everything that can go wrong definitely does. So wrong, in fact, that Erin starts to wonder if YOLO is simply recording her life … or ruining it.

I hope you enjoy the book! And here’s wishing you a healthy, happy and prosperous 2017 that’s filled with goals realized and dreams come true.

THIS IS 35 Releases Today … with a Giveaway! — 161 Comments

  1. I want to take a trip to Alaska and maybe Vancouver and Seattle while we’re out there. I’m also planning on retiring soon, and will try to knock off all the quilts that i want to make!

    • Hi Sandy,
That trip sounds amazing! I haven’t been to Alaska yet, but we went to Vancouver in fall 2015 and it is one of my favorite cities in the world. So crisp and clean and outdoorsy and friendly! I hope you do make it up that way. And if you have time to squeeze in one more stop, the San Juan Islands are breathtaking. We did an overnight stay on Orcas Island and it was the quietest, most relaxing place I could ever imagine. Happy 2017!

    • Awesome! That’s a goal I love for obvious reasons. 🙂 Good luck getting it finished … sounds like you’re more than well on your way. And best of luck with publication. I hope I get to read it someday!

  2. Happy New Year! I am new to you ^_^ Just like Andrea, I am permanently disabled at 47 (still a wee bit younger than she 😉 The two most important items on my bucket list are watching my 12 and 9 year olds graduate from college before my mind is completely gone. ( Brain injury and much more susceptible to Alzheimer’s now) Of course winning the lottery is also acceptable!

Looking forward to discovering your written worlds~

    • Happy New Year, Michelle! I’m sorry to hear about your brain injury and wish you good health and healing, and the ability to complete your very important bucket list items. And I hope the lottery comes through for you in 2017! 🙂 Thanks so much for taking time to stop by and enter the contest.

    • Hi, Lacie! I wish you health and happiness this year and I hope you realize your goals. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by, and happy new year!

    • I love that bucket list, Nancy! And 130 … that’s an epic number. I hope you reach it, and I’m in awe of it! Happy reading, and happy new year!

  3. My bucket list item I need to achieve is don’t give family your opinion even when asked. They really don’t want to know. Especially don’t give it when not asked. To achieve this I know I will need help from up above. Praying daily.

    • Whew, no doubt, Erma. And when a family member gives his or her unsolicited opinion, I learned this year that it’s best to smile and say “I love you.” 🙂 Thanks for entering the contest!

    • That sounds A-mazing! Awesome that you’ve already taken the reins and are making this happen. I hope you have a fantastic vacation!!

    • You know what, you will! I’ve always read that the way to reach goals is to make them specific and write them down. You’ve done this! I really hope you achieve them, and have a great 2017!

  4. My bucket list for this year includes:
    1. Complete my first novel.
    2. Travel North to see the Northern Lights.
    3. Take my grandson to see Niagara Falls.

    • A woman after my own heart, Kim. Writing and traveling are my favorite things. I hope you complete all three of these goals this year! And best of luck with the writing. If I can do it, you can too!

  5. My main bucket list item is going home to see family and old friends. I have been away for a long time and I miss my loved ones. One friend has been in my life since 1975, the other since 1978. Between them and family I have been blessed many times over. In the meantime I comfort myself with my first loves.. The first Christmas present I remember was from my two oldest brothers, 365 Bed time stories.. My granddaughters have it now. The best gift we received as children was to have parents that instilled in us a love of and for books. Happy New Year every one.. May 2017 be the her that you have enough time to read to your heart’s content.

    • This is lovely from the first word to the last! I hope you have a wonderful year filled with family, old friends and great books. Thanks so much for stopping by a chatting, and Happy New Year!

    • Ambitious and awesome, Tina! Best of luck, and I hope you have a fantastic, productive year. And that you have a great business launch when the time comes. Happy New Year!

  6. For my bucket list this year, I hope to travel to the MidWest and visit my college friends. It’s just been too many years!

  7. My bucket list item for 2017 is to travel in New England. I am not well enough to fly, so we are limited to destinations within easy driving distance of Maryland. So far we have seen most of the sites between Pennsylvania and North Carolina. We tried for Tennessee on our 25th anniversary, but we had to abort when my mother passed away unexpectedly. My husband hasn’t seen New England yet, so I hope we can do that this year- weather, health, and work allowing.
    🙂

    • I’m so sorry for your loss, Carol. And I hope health and situations allow you to travel this year. At least you have many beautiful places within driving distance … that’s no small silver lining. I hope you have a wonderful 2017!

  8. Stacey hope you get to everything on your bucket list. My bucket list for 2017 is to lose a lot of weight for myself & my family. Grandchildren are hard to keep up with as it is Enjoy your books & newsletter. Thanks for a chance to win a copy of your book.

  9. I think I have pretty much done everything I had on my bucket list except going to Italy to do more genealogy on my mother’s side of the family. But I am doing that by getting information about where my great-grandparents are from on both sides. Both of my grandparents were first generation Italian-Americans so each of the parents came through Ellis Island on a boat. I’m so glad my grandmother had talked about them and I have a lot of documentation to go through.

    • Oh, how fun! That’s awesome that you have so much information to go on. And that your family has such a cool history. And Italy! I really hope you get there this year. I want to go back someday! There are a few Italy scenes in This Is 35, so I did recently go there vicariously. 🙂

  10. One of the things I will like to accomplish this year is to go to Australia. I applied to a One Year Challenge through my church to help out the Singles Ministry in Sydney. I have always wanted to go to Australia but I never thought beyond the 2 weeks vacations. This will be an amazing opportunity if I am accepted.

    • Oh, wow. I really hope you get accepted! What an amazing opportunity! Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting. Happy New Year!

  11. Right now the only thing that I have on my bucket list is to get me now ex-fiancée to realize he does love me. That just because was just diagnosed with MS I am still the same person…. I know its not much but everything in my life has been tumbling out of control.

  12. Good evening! I am 45 and my bucket list includes having a children’s book published and taking a trip to London, England to see where my mother lived as a child!

    • Hi, Sandra! I hope you reach both of these goals! We have both books and heritage in common. My mom is English, too! She grew up in Drayton, a village outside Norwich in East Anglia. My first trip overseas was at age 20 to visit Drayton and meet my grandfather. I love England so much!!! I’ve been back a few times, but it always stays at the top of my list of places to travel.

  14. Get ALL my family together this summer for a reunion. Too many changes have gone on over the last several years, births, deaths and severe illnesses. Need to reconnect with my loved ones.

  15. My bucket list this year is to run a 10K. I am not a strong runner so this will be a challenge for me. Thanks for the contest!

    • Hi, Lauren! I’m right there with you, though I’m less ambitious and aiming for a 5K. Ha! I hope we both make this one happen. Thanks for stopping by!

  16. I would love to be able to take my 88 year old mother to Ireland. It has been on her bucket list for several years. Now it’s on mine to make it happen before something happens to her and she can’t go. I love to travel and yet haven’t been out of the US

  17. I hope to move to the beach this year. I’ve wanted to live at the beach since I was a teenager, and now that I’m retired, I hope to make that wish come true!

  18. My one of the items on my bucket list, that I want to achieve is to go to as many Tucson Gem & Jewelry shows as I can. I want to be able to buy beads, that are not available where I live. I am learning how to make my own jewelry. One of my other item on my bucket list is to go to Baseball Spring training games in both Arizona & Florida with my husband. We are both big baseball fans.

  19. This year it will be taking a cruise to Alaska. And going on a dogsled ride. Which will handle 3 things on my bucket list. Yay

    • I love it! Always great to knock out multiple goals at one time. And those goals are AWESOME. We really want to get to Alaska one day, too. One of our good friends is a native Alaskan and we’d love to see the area she’s from. I hope you meet these goals this year!

  20. Get our website launched and make money! Tired of a life of paycheck to paycheck and we have a way to make a good living – just got to get it going.

  21. 1. Semi-retire from my business. 2. Get another puppy. 3. Take a photography class. 4. Complete plans for my dream house and schedule construction to begin February or March 2018. 5. In 2018 – Leave the big city and move to the farm where I will keep bees and chickens, train my puppy to keep the cattle out of the front yard, have a big garden, take awesome photographs, read and cook and can to my heart’s content. 6. Travel to beautiful places and take more photographs.

Wow! Who knew all that was in my head? I apparently need a bucket list journal!

    • Holy wow, Donna! This is an amazing list. I hope you make every single item on it happen. And it looks like you have a bucket list story of your own in the works! See below … I think you can inspire others!! 🙂

  22. I don’t really have a bucket list this year. I’m mostly hoping to be more positive. I had a really horrible health year in 2016 and it really got me down so I’m just going to try and push forward this year. I also want to try and get more of the books on my tbr read. I own so many that I haven’t read yet and I keep buying more so I want to try and read those before I buy new ones.

    • Whew, do I ever relate to the TBR comment. Too many books, too little time! I’m sorry to hear you’ve had health problems. I hope you feel better, stronger and healthier throughout 2017. Thanks for stopping by and entering the contest!

  23. Find a husband!!!! I just turned 35 a month ago! Reading Erin’s stories make me laugh out loud because some of her stories truly remind me of my own life! Just ordered the new book. Can’t wait to get home to start it!!!

    • This made me LOL, Lauren! I hope you reach your husband-finding goal this year, as long as he’s worthy of you! 🙂 (Avoid the Devons, be nice to the Pauls and one day your Ben will come.)

I hope you enjoy the book!! Thanks for stopping by and entering the contest.

  24. On my bucket list… to be able to pay for the last year of my son’s college tuition. To have him graduate debt free would be a blessing.

  25. I would love to go to England, Scotland, and Wales. I have wanted to do tht ever since I was a little girl. I hope to get there.

    • I love this goal, Patti, in part because I love the U.K. so very, very much! My mom is English, but I didn’t get to England myself until I was 20. My first overseas trip was to visit her hometown of Drayton, a village outside Norwich. We’ve since been to Scotland, and still haven’t been to Wales. I really hope you make this happen this year! It’s such a gorgeous place. Thanks for stopping by!

  26. I’m an executive recruiter. I have gotten people jobs all over the U.S. for over 20 years. My goal is to place 12 more people than I did last year. Thanks for the chance to win.

  27. I hope to visit Spain this year to celebrate our 25th anniversary which happened back in Oct 2015. My husband is a tad behind in making reservations for us!!!!

  28. I hope to get a job, not any job, but one that I like and can advance in. I would like to learn MS Office 2016 so that I can get that job and learn to type!

  29. 2016 was a really bad and stressful year for me. So now that 2017 has started, I wish to be healthier and happier this year. Not really a bucket list item, but I find it hard to put a list together until I move on from my mother passing away …

  30. I’ve never had a bucket list. I’m not a dreamer(sad, huh). I just like life to kinda flow nicely. I’d like to remain healthy is really it. Then I will be happy.

  31. I have two things on my bucket list that probably can be accomplished together. First off, I want to visit Hawaii. I have wanted to see this beautiful state since I was a little girl. My husband promised me that on our fifth anniversary he would take me and we could renew our wedding vows on the beach. Well, considering we will celebrate our 29th anniversary in July, I guess he was a bit off….lol.
The second thing on my bucket list that can be accomplished if I ever get to Hawaii, is to ride on a jet ski.
    Oh, well, maybe some day.

    • This goal is both inspiring and hilarious, Linda! Yes, he’s 24 years late … but no worries, because now you still have it to look forward to! I really, really hope you can drag that man to the Hawaiian islands this year, and that you realize your goal of jet skiing! I love your goals so much. 🙂

  32. One bucket item that will definitely be checked off my list this year is a week long getaway with my sisters! We have picked March to meet but the three of us need to agree on the location soon. Key West is definitely in the lead.

    • Love this! I really hope you do this, and that you go somewhere amazing. Key West would be fantastic! Sadly my oldest sister tried to plan a sisters’ trip for us in early December, but two of us had to miss it. So I hope you meet your goal and that my sisters and I meet the same goal this year!

  33. This year I would like to read more books, organize my home better and create lots of tasty dishes for my family to enjoy. Thank you! Happy New Year!

    • I hope she does, June! That’s a beautiful goal and she’s so lucky to have a grandmother who wants to spend time with her. Here’s to hoping she realizes this and that you two have great times together this year. Thanks so much for stopping by and entering the contest!

  34. I would like to take a short vacation with my husband this year. He’s had some serious medical issues the last 5 years, and I hope his health improves enough that we can get away and relax for a few days.

    • You are a more daring woman than I am, Sarah! I really, really hope you get to do this! It was on Erin’s bucket list in 30 First Dates and there’s a scene toward the end you might relate to. 🙂 As for me, I live vicariously through her in instances that involve falling from great heights. 😉 Happy New Year, and thanks for commenting!

    • New Orleans is so much fun!!! I’m not too far away in Memphis, so we get there from time to time. Not nearly often enough. Have you checked out Traci Andrighetti’s Limoncello Yellow series, by the way? They’re set in NOLA and her books are as fun as the city! I really hope you reach this goal this year.

In case you’d like to join the Facebook conversation, here’s the link: https://www.facebook.com/StaceyWiedower.author/posts/744572329031746 (I’m sorry if the link wasn’t active when you clicked, but don’t worry — you’re entered in the contest!)

  35. I’ve never really thought about a “bucket list”. I just know I want my boys to be happy. I want to beat depression so I can enjoy life more. I’d like to “smell the roses” so to speak. I don’t need to travel, or have beautiful things. I want to spread God’s word and be the person He wants me to be.

    • Man, these goals are worthwhile and amazing, Pat. All about the important things in life. I hope you can overcome your depression, that your boys are happy and that all the roses smell very sweet for you this year! Thanks so much for stopping by.

  36. I would love to finish a book series, on a girls vacation, by a pool. Best memory before we lost my father was hanging out by a pool talking. I would love to spend a good week making memories with my mom, sister, and grandmother, just the girls

  37. I’d like to visit the New England states. I have visited all of the others, but for some reason, I’ve never gone north east, time to finish visiting all 50 states.

    • I LOVE travel goals! That’s one of the fun parts of writing this series … Erin is a traveler and more adventurous than I am, so I get to live vicariously! I also share this goal with you. My state count is 38, and I’ve only been to about half of the New England states. We were talking just today about trying to plan a trip north later this year. I hope we both reach this goal in ’17!

  38. I want to go to the Shetland Islands and the Isle of Wight…and always, always Ireland! These three are at the top of my bucket list and foremost in my dreams! Sounds different and strange…I guess. But, sometimes, the grandest adventures happen in the most out of the way places!

    • I could not agree more, and this sounds absolutely amazing. I hope you get to these places this year! My “foremost in my dreams” spot is Santorini. Here’s to realizing travel dreams in 2017! And thanks for stopping by.

**In case you’d like to join the Facebook conversation, here’s the link: https://www.facebook.com/StaceyWiedower.author/posts/744572329031746 (I’m sorry it wasn’t active when you clicked, but don’t worry — you’re entered in the contest!)

  39. I didn’t travel last year because I wasn’t well. This year I would like to go on some short trips especially to the beach.
I would also like to go through my stuff, I have too much. I will donate it so someone else can enjoy it.

    Happy New Year!

  40. How wonderful to meet a new-to-me author and series. Bucket List? I hope to take one of my ideas and write and publish it with a local online magazine. I’ve always wanted to write for more than just family and friends, so this year is it! I’ve a relationship with Kings River Life magazine as a copy editor and reviewer of books, television, and movies, so maybe one of my short stories will be accepted. Good luck on yours and all of the 2017 goals!

  41. Hey, at 60 and permanently disabled I’ve given up adding to the list and celebrate when I can out of the house 😉

We are talking about doing part of the powow circuit this year. Paris is on my bucket list as well. Freewheel RVing is also there and Trans Canadian travel

    • Wow, Andrea. Your list of goals is really inspiring, and I hope you feel well and are able to get out of the house and do all of these things! I really want to hear more about this powow circuit … see below! 🙂

    • Wow, and congratulations in advance, Christine! I hope this happens for you in 2017! What’s your field of study? (Pop onto Facebook if you get a chance … see below!) Thanks so much for stopping by and entering!

    • That’s an awesome bucket list item, Amy! I hope you do it this year and that you get to go somewhere great! I actually didn’t fly until I was 20. We took a lot of road trips when I was a kid, but never flew … which was funny because my mom is from the U.K. She didn’t go home during my first 20 years of life! And so when I did finally fly for the first time, it was for my first visit to my mom’s hometown in England. Go big or go home, right? After that trip my parents went back overseas for a month every year for about a decade. And England is still my favorite place in the world to visit.

Best of luck meeting your goal, and Happy New Year!
